Dear 2020,
You have ruined my life while simultaneously making me grow stronger. I do not know if I should hate you or be grateful for all the amazing things that had happened to me this year. My academic career has never been worse but my confidence and work portfolio have never been better. I have gotten to join more clubs, web conferences, and organizations that have uplifted me more than I knew was possible on a virtual platform. I wish that I could say that I would change the year by including the journey with my friends and family, but I have no regrets.
2020 was like the Blackpink song, Love to Hate Me because the world wishes more than anything that you never happened but you have actually forced the world to progress to a better future. To express how I feel about 2020 overall is best shown through the Avenue Beats song called F2020 because this year has been an endless sh*t show.
Lowkey f*ck 2020! I won't miss you but thank you for changing my life forever. I have started a business, a blog, consulting firm, podcast, and brand that I will never give up or want to trade for a better year. I am thankful to be alive and doing well and I am not about to dwell on a theoretical year. I can only wish for a better year to come.
